izmigo Terms of Use

izmigo is a digital taxi request platform for İzmir operated by Berlin GmbH LLC. It connects passengers with drivers who hold a taxi operating licence issued by İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi.

Berlin GmbH LLC does not carry passengers, does not own or dispatch vehicles, does not employ drivers and does not collect, process or receive the fare. The transport itself is performed by the licensed driver, and the fare is agreed and settled between you and that driver in the vehicle.

You must be at least 18 years old, have a valid mobile phone number and provide accurate information. Drivers must additionally hold a valid taxi operating licence and driving licence and use a vehicle registered and equipped as a taxi. One account per person; you are responsible for what happens under your account.

You choose a pickup point and a destination, review the route and the approximate fare, and send the request. Nearby drivers who are online receive it and may accept it. When a driver accepts, you both see each other's name and phone number and, for the driver, vehicle details and position, so the pickup can be confirmed directly.

izmigo does not assign drivers, does not decide which taxi comes and does not intervene in the ride itself.

Sending a request does not create an obligation for any driver to accept it. Acceptance depends on how many licensed taxis are online near you. If no driver accepts within a few minutes, you may resend the request or use the official taxi rank; at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport the rank is immediately outside the arrivals exit of each terminal.

The fare shown before you send a request is an estimate calculated from the distance and duration of the route and the official taxi tariff set by the İzmir metropolitan council. It is informational. The amount you pay is the amount shown on the taximeter at the end of the ride.

İzmir applies a single tariff around the clock: there is no night rate and no airport supplement. Trips that stay under 3.15 km are charged the short-distance fare instead of the metered amount, trips that leave İzmir province carry 50% on top of the tariff, and waiting time, motorway and toll charges can make the final amount differ from the estimate. Tariffs are set by the metropolitan council and can change during the year.

Berlin GmbH LLC does not set, guarantee or receive the fare.

Using izmigo as a passenger is free. We charge no commission, booking fee, service fee or surge price, and we do not process the fare. You pay the driver directly in the vehicle by cash or, where offered, by card. Ask the driver for a receipt if you need one.

You may cancel a request in the app before the driver arrives. Please cancel as early as possible, because an accepted request means a driver is on their way. Repeated no-shows, late cancellations after the driver has arrived or abusive behaviour towards drivers may lead to suspension of your account. Any waiting charge is governed by the official tariff and settled with the driver, not with us.

Drivers may cancel an accepted request if they cannot reach the pickup point; the app will let you resend it.

Drivers use izmigo partner as independent, licensed professionals. They pay Berlin GmbH LLC a fixed membership for access to the platform; we take no commission per ride. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency or partnership relationship between Berlin GmbH LLC and any driver. Drivers are responsible for complying with the taxi rules that apply to them, including the İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi taxi regulations adopted by UKOME, and for their vehicle, their insurance and their conduct towards passengers.

The app and website are provided as they are and as available. We work to keep them running but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, the accuracy of maps, addresses or estimates, or that a taxi will be available. We are not liable for the conduct of drivers or passengers, for the ride itself, for fare disputes or for delays and losses caused by third-party services such as maps, telecommunications or app stores.

To the extent permitted by law, the liability of Berlin GmbH LLC for damages arising from the use of the platform is limited to cases of intent or gross negligence. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumer protection law grants you and that cannot be waived.

You may delete your account at any time in the app or by writing to support. We may suspend or close an account in case of fraud, abuse, false information, a missing or expired taxi licence or repeated breach of these Terms; where possible we will tell you why.

If you use the app as a consumer, Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection applies to you. Note that passenger transport services are largely carved out of the Distance Contracts Regulation, so the fourteen-day right of withdrawal that applies to many online purchases does not apply to a taxi ride. This does not affect your other consumer rights.

For a dispute you can apply to a district or provincial consumer arbitration committee (tüketici hakem heyeti). For 2026 an application to the committee is mandatory below 186.000 TL; at or above that value the dispute goes to a consumer court, preceded by mandatory mediation. This monetary limit is revalued every January, so check the current figure before you rely on it. Before any formal step, please contact support; most issues are resolved there.

These Terms are governed by Turkish law. Nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer rules, including the right to apply to the consumer arbitration committee or consumer court with jurisdiction at your place of residence.

We may update these Terms when the service or the law changes. The current version is published in the app and on izmigo.com with its date, and we will notify you in the app of material changes before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
