How does a commission-free taxi work in İzmir?
izmigo lets you send a request to nearby licensed taxi drivers at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport and across the districts of İzmir. Before you send it you see the route and an approximate fare based on the official İzmir taxi tariff. Nothing is added on top: no platform commission, no booking fee, no surge pricing.
No passenger commission
izmigo adds nothing to the fare. You pay the driver what the meter shows, under the tariff set by the İzmir metropolitan council.

The app applies the official tariff to the distance of your route and shows an approximate figure before you send the request.
Licensed taxis only
Requests go to drivers with a commercial taxi licence and a stamped taximeter, not to private cars.
What you pay for
You pay for the taxi journey itself. izmigo does not add a commission, booking fee or service charge to your request, and it does not raise the fare when demand is high.
izmigo does not collect or process the fare. You pay the driver in the vehicle, in cash or by card if the driver offers it. The meter and the printed receipt are the reference.
izmigo is a digital request platform. It does not employ drivers, does not assign a driver to you and does not operate transport. A nearby licensed driver sees your request and decides whether to accept it.
How the fare is calculated
The İzmir taxi tariff is set by the İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi council. Under the decision of 17 April 2026, in force since 30 April 2026: a flagfall of ₺40.00, ₺54.00 per kilometre and ₺240.00 per hour of waiting. Trips under 3.15 km are charged the short-distance fare of ₺210.00 instead.
İzmir has no night tariff — one rate applies around the clock — and no airport supplement. Journeys that leave İzmir province, for example to Kuşadası, Bodrum or Pamukkale, carry 50% on top of the tariff. Motorway and toll charges are paid by the passenger, and no separate baggage fee may be charged.
izmigo applies that tariff to the distance of your route and shows an approximate figure. The final amount is what the meter reads at the end, so traffic and waiting time can move it.
What working with licensed taxis means
izmigo works only with drivers holding a commercial taxi licence and shows the official meter tariff. There is no surge and no commission on the passenger side. Drivers pay a fixed membership, so nothing is deducted from your fare.
BiTaksi, Uber and the municipal EnTaksi app also dispatch licensed taxis in İzmir, and joining the queue at a rank or hailing in the street is still common. izmigo is not the only option. The difference is that the fare is set by the municipal tariff rather than by a platform, and requests go only to licensed taxis.
Who receives your request
Requests are only visible to drivers who hold a commercial taxi licence in the area and have registered on izmigo partner. Each driver sees the pickup point, the destination and the approximate fare, and accepts only if the trip suits them.
Once a driver accepts, you see the vehicle details and can contact the driver directly to agree the exact meeting point, for example the taxi rank on the arrivals floor.
Requesting a taxi in four steps
